BNP Standing Committee Member MK Anwar passed away at his residence in Dhaka early today. He was 86.
He breathed his last around 1:30am at his residence on Elephant Road, Sayrul Kabir Khan, a staff of BNP chairperson's media wing, told The Daily Star this morning.The veteran BNP leader left behind his two sons and a daughter to mourn his death.BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep condolence at the death of MK Anwar.and other BNP leaders visited MK Anwar’s residence in Dhaka city around 9:45am.The first namaj-e-janaza of the BNP leader was held at Kataban Mosque in the capital around 10:00am
